My next inspiring uber creative is Lukhanyo Mdingi, a Cape Town based fashion designer. I caught up with him just before he was due to jet off to London.
Tell us what you do for a living?
I am an Emerging Fashion Designer of the label Lukhanyo Mdingi and also work part-time at Clarke’s Bar and Dining Room on Bree Street in Cape Town.
What is your passion-what inspires you?
I would have to say Education. I believe in empowering others and definitely being inspiring. We as humans all have a responsibility to use our talents & skills to enrich and pave a way for a brighter & better future.
What is it that you love about Cape Town and Africa?
As a whole, our natural beautiful landscapes and all the extraordinary diverse cultures & people that coexist on this epic continent!
Name a favourite travel destination?
Cape Town, & London as a close second.
What are a few of your favourite things in life and what is your pet peeve?
Definitely Laughter and Happiness. Laughing is perhaps one of the most genuine and best feelings…
Pet Peeve – I would have to say inconsiderate people….and clearing dirty tables at Clarke’s.
