Every year, we have an artichoke feast, usually around October when they are plentiful…we’ve been doing it since the boys were little…boil a batch, place them in a high pile on the table..each of us with our own dipping sauce of olive oil, lemon juice & freshly crushed garlic…& off we go. I always remember I had my first fresh artichoke in Monaco, at the age of 14. I didn’t quite get the taste then but I do now 🙂
