I’ve always loved images of ballet dancers taken close up backstage – capturing their pensive moments before they perform; their expressions as they watch what’s going on onstage and the way the light plays on faces, tulle, eyelashes, dance shoes is just beautiful…here are a few photographs I shot from sidestage last night during Cape Dance Company’s final dress rehearsal at Artscape Theatre here in Cape Town. Their Cadence season opens tonight…
