The opening of Champ went down fabulously well last night. It’s a very funny play, written by Louis Viljoen & directed by Greg Karvellas, about 3 actors having to work a somewhat demeaning entertainment gig dressed as oversized teddy bears, at a shopping mall. Excellent cast- a 5 hander- with Nicholas Pauling, Darron Araujo, Mark Elderkin, Adama Neill & Kerstin Francis. Nicknamed by those who have seen the play as the ‘swearbears’ for their potty mouths, this is an excellent piece of theatre, with a super fine cast. Go see it at the Artscape Arena until 20/10.
