  1. Tell us what you do for a living?

I am a travel designer. I design *(new) luxury lifestyle travel experiences for people in Cape Town and Turkey.

  1. What is your passion – what inspires you?

Meeting people – connecting with others…

  1. What is it you love about Cape Town?

The energy of The Mother City makes me feel comfortable and convince my soul to stay here. The energy comes from the combination of the Mountain, ocean and forest in and around the city.

  1. Give us a travel tip or two about Turkey and Istanbul.

Just go out and walk in the streets of the city where two continents meet. Watch people and enjoy the Turkish culture around you in Istanbul. You really don’t need to do anything more then this in Istanbul

  1. What are a few of your favourite things in life?

Taking my first answer further, I’ve realised that my favourite thing in life is meeting people. Listening their story and sharing my own life story with them. My Cape Town friends mostly say, “Ozzy you know everyone!” Of course I don’t know everybody but yes i want to know every single human being where I live and where I go. I also love being underwater – it’s an adventure for me. This is why I became a diving instructor many years ago. I worked and travelled for many years in Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines and did thousands of dives. I also love making coffee – I have a mobile set up in my Landrover – this is another way for me to connect with people.

*More about new luxury, > it’s “no longer about 5 star hotels, vintage wines and helicopter flights”, according to Ozzy’s good friend Michaela Guzy. It’s  more about designing a unique offering for travellers – creating authentic experiences that involve interesting locals – a street artist, a barista, a designer, chef or a shop owner. Through considered interactions with his clients, Ozzy identifies their personal tastes and interests and designs tours around their preferences.
